POLSOMNOGRAPHER TECHNICIAN Location: OUR LADY OF BELLEFONTE HOSPITAL, ASHLAND, KY Department: SLEEPLAB Requisition Number: xxxx8 Schedule: Full Time Shift: Variable Hours: Variable Weekends: Yes Holiday/Vacation Coverage: Yes On Call: Yes Job Details: OUR LADY BELLEFONTE HOSPITAL POSITION SUMMARY Under minimal supervision of the Sleep Lab Coordinator, the technologist shall perform the specific duties and responsibilities outlined below according to policies and procedures approved by the Medical Staff of Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. Under medical supervision, the individual shall be responsible for administration of all phases of diagnostic procedures performed in the sleep center. The technologist must be able to make independent decisions and will perform functions of a respiratory therapist as needed. Job Requirements 1. High school graduate or equivalent. 2. Graduate from a respiratory therapy program is preferred, but not required if the individual has equivalent training and/or experience in healthcare. 3. Certified / Registered Respiratory Therapist and ACLS preferred. 4. Basic Life Support required. 5. At least six months experience in a diagnostic sleep lab preferred. 6. Basic computer skills required. 7. Basic Life Support required. 8. Training and/or experience in Healthcare required. 9. Basic training in Electrocardiogram interpretation required within 6 months of hire.
