Family Practice physician job in West Virginia : VISTA's Government client is seeking a medical doctor to provide services at a federal correctional facility. Outpatient medical services. Services to be provided include, but are not limited to, the following: examine, diagnose and treatment of medical conditions with appropriate referral, if necessary, to a specialist; order x-rays, laboratory tests, and other test necessary for diagnoses; prescribe pharmaceutical drugs that are listed in the approved BOP Formulary; evaluates referrals from clinical staff, including physician assistants and nurses. Experience in a correctional health care setting preferred, but not required.Dates: 120 day contractSchedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Licensing: Any unrestricted state license in good standingRequirements: Board-Certified/Board-Eligible. Minimum of 3 years recent experience in Acute Care, Ambulatory Care, Medical/Surgical or psychiatric care facility.
